Mrs. Kangela Harris, AAS Human Services

Ms. Kangela Harris is a purpose-driven leader whose work sits at the intersection of mentorship, human services, and community transformation. As a graduate in Human Services and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of She United, Inc., she is deeply committed to empowering girls and young women to find their voices, build confidence, and step fully into their potential.

Kangela works closely with the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice and the Crime Commissioner’s Office to advance violence-prevention efforts, with a dedicated focus on protecting at-risk girls from gun violence, trafficking, and exploitation.

Grounded in faith, compassion, and lived experience, Kangela leads with empathy, resilience, and integrity. She believes that true leadership is measured by the lives uplifted, and this belief is reflected in every workshop, mentoring session, and community initiative she leads.

Under her visionary leadership, She United, Inc. has expanded across New York and New Jersey, reaching hundreds of girls and families through trauma-informed, empowerment-centered programming that integrates mentorship, education, leadership development, and family engagement.
